New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center named anesthesiologist Laureen Hill, MD, its senior vice president and COO.
Here's what you should know:
1. Dr. Hill comes to the health system from Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare. She held several leadership roles there.
2. In her new positions, Dr. Hill will manage and direct the health system's operations.
3. She brings more than 17 years of executive experience to the position.
4. She earned her medical degree from UC Davis. She completed a residency and two fellowships at Stanford (Calif.) University.
5. Dr. Hill is a member of the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologist, Society of Critical Care Medicine and Society of Academic Anesthesiology Association.
