NAPA anesthesiologists win national performance accolade — 4 details

Southington (Conn.) Surgery Center’s anesthesia team was recognized for reliable service in a national performance survey.

Four details:

1. The group won first place in the “Confidence in Anesthesia Department” category of the 2018 EdgePerception Performance Analysis Report. It was ranked in the top 20 on two other anesthesia-related measures.

2. The eight anesthesiologists, 14 certified nurse anesthetists and two registered nurses in the group are part of Mellville, N.Y.-based North American Partners in Anesthesia, an anesthesia and perioperative management company.

3. The team’s success comes from embodying NAPA’s mission to “always do what’s right for the patient” and NAPA’s comprehensive leadership training program, according to Southington Surgery Center Director of Anesthesia Services John Satterfield, MD.

4. Southington Surgery Center is a joint venture established by New Britain-based Hospital of Central Connecticut, Meriden, Conn.-based MidState Medical Center and local physicians. It is managed by Avon, Conn.-based Constitution Surgery Alliance.
