The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based group announced a double-digit revenue jump overall for its 1,900 physicians, who specialize in neonatal, maternal-fetal, pediatric cardiology and anesthesia doctor services.

Mednax also announced it acquired Loudoun Anesthesia Associates of Virginia, a practice that provides anesthesia services at Inova Loudoun Hospital and Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center in Leesburg.

The anesthesia practice was acquired in cash and should further boost the company’s earnings.
