Mednax Acquires North Carolina Anesthesiology Practice

National medical group Mednax today announced the acquisition of Burlington (N.C.) Anesthesia. The physician group consists of an anesthesia care team model that includes six anesthesiologists and 12 nurse anesthetists.

The practice, which was established in 1978 and provides anesthesia services across a wide spectrum of subspecialties, provides anesthesia services at Alamance Regional Medical Center and Pioneer Ambulatory Surgery Center, both located in Burlington.

Under the acquisition, the physicians of Burlington Anesthesia will join more than 900 anesthesia providers in Mednax’s American Anesthesiology division.
