MEDNAX acquires Central New York Anesthesia Group: 4 notes MEDNAX acquired

MEDNAX acquired Syracuse-based Central New York Anesthesia Group, a private physician group practice.

Here is what you need to know.

1. CNY Anesthesia was established in 1981 and employs 41 full time clinicians.

2. Medical director of the practice Robert Black, MD, lauded the acquisition saying that MEDNAX would give CNY the size, scope, reputation and infrastructure needed “to steadily navigate today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment.”

3. Upon closing of the deal, MEDNAX will add CNY Anesthesia to its offerings in its New York market.

4. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
