Medical College of Wisconsin physicians receive NIH anesthesia grant — 3 things to know

Milwaukee-based Medical College of Wisconsin physicians have received the T32 Anesthesiology Research Training grant from the National Institutes of Health, according to a Wauwatosa Now report.

Here are three things to know:

1. The five-year grant will allow physician scientists to conduct clinical training and integrated research in anesthesiology.

2. Three physicians have been selected to receive the grant, which amounts to $960,651.

3. Judy Kersten, MD, professor of anesthesiology, pharmacology and toxicology at MCW and senior vice chair of anesthesiology, is leading the effort.
