Forrest General Healthcare Foundation inducts Dr. William Strong into Doctors’ Hall of Fame — 4 insights

Hattiesburg, Miss.-based Forrest General Healthcare Foundation named four physicians to the 2018 Doctors’ Hall of Fame including anesthesiologist William B. Strong, MD, Mississippi Business Journal reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Dr. Strong Jr., earned his medical degree from and completed an internship at Oxford-based University of Mississippi, he completed an anesthesiology residency at Galveston-based University of Texas.

2. Dr. Strong Jr., served Forrest General for 37 years.

3. He held numerous roles including secretary of the medical staff, chairman of the anesthesiology department and member of the quality and credentials committees.

4. The hospital also inducted Steven Murphey, MD, Michael Stonnington, MD, and the late Nagen Bellare, MD.
