2. The university named William McNiece, MD, a physician anesthesiologist, the program's medical director.
3. Dr. McNiece said in a statement, "This new program at Indiana University School of Medicine will educate and train highly qualified individuals to become CAAs and join anesthesiology practices as members of ACTs in Indiana and beyond."
4. The first class will begin in August 2017.
