Dr. Santhanam Suresh wins ASRA Distinguished Service Award: 4 notes

The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine named Santhanam Suresh, MD, winner of its Distinguished Service Award.

1. The award recognizes extraordinary and broad contributions to the science, teaching or the practice of regional anesthesia and/or pain medicine.

2. Dr. Suresh was selected as the award winner in part due to his longstanding service to ASRA, service on the ASRA Board of Directors and on the editorial board of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.

3. Dr. Suresh is the chair of the anesthesia department and the pain management team director at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. He is also an Arthur C. King Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

4. He completed his fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
