Dr. Sachin Kheterpal joins working group for President’s Precision Medicine Initiative

Sachin Kheterpal, MD, MBA, an anesthesiologist, has been appointed to the team that will lay the groundwork for President Barack Obama’s Precision Medicine Initiative.

The working group of experts in genetics and large clinical research studies will gather public input on the president’s initiative.
 
Dr. Kheterpal leads the Multicenter Perioperative Group and the Anesthesiology Performance Improvement and Reporting Exchange, a consortium of 47 medical centers around the world focused on using electronic health record data to enable perioperative medicine research. He is also associate professor at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
