Dr. Nikolaos Skubas earns American Society of Echocardiography honor: 5 things to know

Nikolaos J. Skubas, MD, was appointed chair of the Fellowship of the American Society of Echocardiography’s advisory committee.

1. Fellows of the society are echo practitioners of all specialty types who display proficiency and commitment to cardiovascular ultrasound.

2. Dr. Skubas is chief of the division of cardiac anesthesia.

3. He focuses on perioperative echocardiography and anesthetic techniques for minimally invasive cardiac surgical procedures.

4. He serves as an associate editor for the Journal Anesthesia and Analgesia.

5. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland as well as a fellowship in cardiac and thoracic anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis.
