Dr. Nikan Khatibi appointed to Calif. Health Professions Education Foundation Board of Trustees: 3 points

California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. appointed Nikan Khatibi, DO, to the California Health Professions Education Foundation Board of Trustees, according to an Imperial Valley News report.

Here are three facts:

1. Dr. Khatibi is a pain and addiction medicine physician at the Riverside (Calif.) Medical Clinic.

2. He previously served as an anesthesiologist, neuroanesthesia researcher and pain medicine physician at Loma Linda (Calif.) University Medical Center.

3. He has also served as vice chair and commissioner at the City of Loma Linda Planning Commission.
