Dr. Megan Olejniczak to travel to Rwanda as part of medical mission trip: 4 notes

Megan Olejniczak, MD, will travel to Rwanda to participate in a teaching program at two hospitals.

Here are four notes:

1. Dr. Olejniczak is an American Society of Anesthesiologists Global Humanitarian Outreach volunteer.

2. She is an anesthesiologist practicing at the Palo Alto (Calif.) Veterans Affair Hospital and Stanford Hospitals and Clinics in Palo Alto.

3. For one month, she will teach physician anesthesiologists, residents and staff in the Rwandan teaching hospitals about perioperative anesthesia, including critical care medicine, procedural skills in a new simulation center and pediatric anesthesia.

4. Dr. Olejniczak has participated in numerous medical missions, and in 2013, she volunteered on a 10-day medical mission trip to rural India.
