Dr. Jean-François Pittet to serve as next editor-in-chief of Anesthesia & Analgesia

The International Anesthesia Research Society named Jean-François Pittet, MD, editor-in-chief of its flagship journal Anesthesia & Analgesia.

Dr. Pittet is the David H. Chestnut Professor of Anesthesiology and Vice Chair/Director of the Division of Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has served as a visiting professor at numerous universities in North America and in Europe.

Dr. Pittet will succeed Steven L. Shafer, MD, once his term expires in March 2016.
