CRH Medical acquires 1st Washington GI anesthesia practice — 4 insights

CRH Medical Corp., purchased 51 percent of Kirkland-based Lake Washington Anesthesia, a gastroenterology anesthesia practice.

Here's what you should know:

1. CRH developed a monitored anesthesia care program between Lake Washington Anesthesia and Kirkland-based Puget Sound Gastroenterology. CRH had an option to acquire a majority of Lake Washington Anesthesia if the program was successful.

2. This is CRH's first acquisition in Washington.

3. Lake Washington Anesthesia has $5.2 million in projected 2018 revenue. The practice is EBITDA and cash flow positive.

4. CRH CEO Edward Wright said, "Today, we are pleased to exercise our option to acquire a majority ownership in the anesthesia practice and expand our footprint to the state of Washington. We look forward to further leveraging the strength of our GI relationships to grow our business through our MAC programs and anesthesia acquisitions."
