CRH launches monitored anesthesia care program — 3 insights

CRH Medical entered into an agreement to develop and manage a monitored anesthesia care program at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Digestive Health Specialists.

Here’s what you should know:

1. CRH will develop and manage the program. The company has an option to acquire up to 51 percent of the resulting entity after a year.

2. DHS owns several ASCs in the Winston-Salem area. Combined, the centers have six procedure rooms.

3. CRH CEO Edward Wright said, “This transaction follows the successful execution of our first MAC acquisition, which resulted in a transaction in July 2018 and furthers our goal of becoming the preeminent provider of GI anesthesia. Our infrastructure and expertise in assisting gastroenterology anesthesia practices plays a role in better patient care.”
