Dr. Reed and the late John Ford, MD, co-founded Phoenix Surgicenter 40 years ago.

“I can not think of anyone more qualified to win this award than Dr. Reed,” said ASC Association President Kathy Bryant in the news release. “His vision and tireless advocacy on behalf of ASCs led to one of the most significant improvements in healthcare in the United States — and worldwide — in the last 40 years. At age 94, he still inspires those in the ASC community he helped create to reach even greater heights.”
