The position is expected to be filled by Mr. Considine’s chief of staff, Kenneth E. Kobylowski, who was nominated by Gov. Chris Christie as Mr. Considine’s successor.
Gov. Christie highlighted the department’s recent work, including the creation of a new hospital outpatient surgical facility fee schedule separate from the ASC facility fee; amendments of the ASC facility fee to eliminate over-reimbursement for implantable devices; deletion of fees from the physician’s fee schedule for some spinal and neurological procedures; and other issues.
