ASA, U.S. Pain Foundation to co-host twitter chat on pain: 4 takeaways

The American Society of Anesthesiologists and the U.S. Pain Foundation will co-host a Twitter chat to discuss pain management options during National Pain Awareness Month.

Here are four takeaways:

1. The chat aims to address what people should know about chronic and acute pain, as well as new relief options and the role opioids and other prescription drugs play.

2. Participants must use the hashtag #Pain101.

3. The chat will take place on Sept. 24.

4. ASA members Anita Gupta, DO, PharmD, and Robert Bolash, MD, as well as U.S. Pain Foundation President Paul Gileno and patient Chris Power will lead the chat.
