ASA Request Proposal for Perioperative Surgical Home Model Learning Collaborative

The American Society of Anesthesiologists announced that it has distributed a Request for Proposal, the initial step in a major initiative to develop a learning collaborative of healthcare organizations to improve surgical care through the Perioperative Surgical Home model.

The Perioperative Surgical Home model aims at implementing a seamless continuity of care from the moment surgery is planned, through recovery and discharge and beyond.

The goal of the collaborative is to accelerate care delivery and payment models of the Perioperative Surgical Home model. Results from the collaborative will be published and disseminated.
