ASA names Dr. Jeffrey Plagenhoef first vice president

The American Society of Anesthesiologists named Jeffrey S. Plagenhoef, MD, first vice president of the ASA Executive Committee.

Dr. Plagenhoef most recently served as ASA assistant secretary. He was also the inaugural chair of the Anesthesia Quality Institute’s board of directors and chair of ASA’s Committee on Anesthesia Care Team. He currently serves as president of Anesthesia Consultants Medical Group and chair of Dothan-based Southeast Alabama Medical Center’s Quality and Peer Review.
