Anesthesiologists Are Top Earners in Pennsylvania

An anesthesiologist is the highest-paid profession in Pennsylvania, according to a Philly City Biz List report.

The data gathered from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that anesthesiologists in the state earn an average salary of $248,380, which breaks down to $119 per hour.  Obstetricians and gynecologists trail closely behind with a mean salary of $243,530, or $117 per hour.

Anesthesiologists also hold the top-paying salary title nationally ($234,950), followed by surgeons ($231,550) and obstetricians and gynecologists ($218,610).
