Healthcare reform law requires states to contract with RACs to audit Medicaid payments. State were originally supposed to implement these programs by April 1, but CMS recently delayed this deadline indefinitely.
CMS plans to announce the new deadline for Medicaid RACs when it releases its final rule for these programs later this year, according to the report.
