Anesthesiologist jobs projected to grow 3% by 2032

The projected change in employment for anesthesiologists is expected to increase 3% by 2032, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The growth rate is the same as the average for all professions. 

Here are the job outlook stats for anesthesiologists, according to the data, which was updated Sept. 6:

Number of jobs in 2022: 40,000

Projected number of jobs in 2032: 41,100

Employment change, 2022 to 2032: 1,100

Growth rate, 2022 to 2032: 3% increase
