The system, known as the Anesthesia Incident Reporting System, will collect information on unintended events to help improve patient safety. AQI plans to use AIRS to educate providers and identify emerging trends in anesthesia patient safety.
Any anesthesia provider can report unintended events related to anesthesia or pain management in a short, three-page report at www.aqiairs.org.
