1. The society bestowed Dr. de Lanzac the honor for his “exemplary contributions to the medical specialty of anesthesiology, its practitioners and patients.”
2. Dr. de Lanzac also serves on the society’s board of directors. He recently became the communication committee’s chairperson.
3. In Louisiana, Dr. de Lanzac was a large part of a statewide campaign promoting “Safe VA Care.”
4. Dr. de Lanzac established the first ambassadorship program in the state aimed at helping engage physician anesthesiologists about advocacy records.
