AMA Elects Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld to Board of Trustees

The American Medical Association announced that anesthesiologist Jesse M. Ehrenfeld, MD, has been elected to the AMA Board of Trustees.

Dr. Ehrenfeld is director of research for Boston-based Institute for Safety in Office-Based Surgery. He is also an associate professor and health medical director for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex patients at Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Ehrenfeld is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Medical Systems and has served in numerous roles within the AMA governing councils, including as a member of the directing boards for the AMA Young Physicians Section.
