Akorn appoints Randall Pollard as CFO — 5 notes

Akorn appointed Randall Pollard as the chief accounting officer and interim chief financial officer, according to Markets Wired.

Here are five notes:

1. Mr. Pollard was appointed the positions after Timothy Dick stepped down as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

2. Mr. Pollard joined the company as vice president and corporate controller in April 2015.

3. He previously worked at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, where he served as the head of accounting and reporting for the company’s generic division, Sanoz.

4. Mr. Pollard is a certified public accountant and holds a MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J.

5. Akron sells various diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical products focused primarily on ophthalmology, anesthesia, antidotes and rheumatology.
