Advanced Medical Group joins National Spine & Pain Centers — 4 things to know

Pinehurst, N.C.-based Advanced Medical Group has joined Rockville, Md.-based National Spine & Pain Centers, expanding National Spine’s pain management practice portfolio.

Here’s what you should know:

1. No patients will be affected by the partnership, but AMG physicians will have the opportunity to collaborate and consult other specialists in NSPC’s network.

2. Paul Kuzma, MD, serves as AMG’s director. As a result of the partnership, Dr. Kuzma will reunite with a former student of his, NSPC’s CMO Peter Staats, MD. Dr. Kuzma trained Dr. Staats while he pursued a fellowship at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University.

3. NSPC’s CEO Jim Robinson said, “We are thrilled to have AMG join the NSPC family. At NSPC, we look for the most highly trained and quality physicians practicing in the field. Dr. [Kuzma] and his team [deliver] quality care which we believe will strengthen our reputation for bringing together the best doctors in the country.”

4. As a result of the partnership, NSPC now has 91 physicians and 96 nurse practitioners and physician assistants in its network of more than 70 U.S.-based facilities.
