The American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology has named Tracey Young, MSNA, CRNA, its 2026-27 president, effective immediately, the Rosemont, Ill.-based organization announced Aug. 25.
Mr. Young co-founded Essential Anesthesia Management, where he serves as chief operating officer. The company provides anesthesia services to more than 130 facilities across five states through a network of over 1,400 anesthesia providers.
Mr. Young has been an active AANA member since 1999 and most recently served as president-elect. He previously held AANA leadership roles including Region 7 director, Nominating Committee chair, Governance Committee chair and Innovation Panel chair. At the state level, she served two terms as president of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Anesthesiology.
“Anesthesia leadership is about protecting those in our care,” Mr. Young said. “I am honored to continue to serve the profession of nurse anesthesiology as president and look forward to working alongside the AANA Board of Directors, the incredible staff, and our members to advance the CRNA profession.”
Mr. Young holds a master’s degree in nurse anesthesia from Texas Wesleyan University and an MBA with a healthcare focus from George Washington University.
