Soubrata V. Raikar, MD, is now offering pain management at his practice, Midwest Anesthesia in Fremont, Neb., according to Fremont Tribune.

1. Dr. Raikar’s father, who was a physician, inspired him to practice medicine. Before his father passed away, the two had planned to open a practice together.

2. He realizes the terrible impact chronic pain has on patients’ lives, as he suffered a back injury that left him in severe pain.

3. Dr. Raikar is encouraged by the advances made in pain management , and wanted to start offering the services.

4. The Journal of Neuromodulation and Neurosurgery have published Dr. Raikar’s research on pain therapies.

5. He will offer exercise therapy, single joint injections and therapies like kyphoplasty and neuromodulation at his new center.
