CMS removed the CPT codes because they are related to procedures already removed from the inpatient-only list.
The five codes removed from the list:
1. CPT code 00670: Anesthesia for extensive spine and spinal cord procedures
2. CPT code 00802: Anesthesia for procedures on lower anterior abdominal wall panniculectomy
3. CPT code 00865: Anesthesia for extraperitoneal procedures in lower abdomen, including urinary tract; radical prostatectomy
4. CPT code 00944: Anesthesia for vaginal procedures
5. CPT code 01214: Anesthesia for open procedures involving hip joint; total hip arthroplasty.
