Old Dominion University and Sentara Health have partnered to establish a cardiovascular disease fellowship.
At the start of the program, two fellows per year will train for three years in facilities including Sentara Health Hospital, according to an Oct. 8 news release from ODU.
Trainees will gain experience across the full spectrum of cardiovascular care, including exposure to a number of cardiovascular conditions and procedures, new technologies and mentorship from faculty.
The fellowship is accredited to grow to four fellows per year for a maximum 12 fellows in training at any one time.
The first fellows will begin training in July 2026, the release said.
