The study, in the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, found that the only modifiable factor among significant patient-related predictors influencing cecal intubation was the quality of the bowel preparation.
It also found that when performed by experienced hands, the one-person method was associated with higher cecal intubation rates than the two-person method.
