3 practices Optum has acquired in 2025

Becker’s has reported on three physician practice acquisitions by Optum, UnitedHealth Group’s physician practice arm, in less than one year.

1. In August, Optum-owned SCA Health acquired U.S. Digestive Health Management, adding 24 ASCs and more than 40 GI practice sites in Pennsylvania and Delaware to its platform. 

2. Also in August, Optum acquired a 200-provider Holston Medical Group in Kingsport, Tenn.

3. In January, Optum agreed to acquire infusion network FlexCare Infusion, an ambulatory infusion network based in Oklahoma City. According to the company’s website, FlexCare has 30 clinic locations across Alabama, Arizona and Oklahoma.
