Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles has opened its largest and most advanced outpatient location, in Pasadena, Calif.

The four-story, 100,000-square-foot facility more than doubles the system’s local capacity and offers more than 15 specialties, including cancer care, cardiology, orthopedics, neurosurgery and rheumatology, according to an Oct. 3 system news release.

The site houses specialists from USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, USC Cardiac and Vascular Institute and USC Orthopedic Surgery and will also provide clinical training for Keck School of Medicine students.

The facility includes an ASC, an imaging center and on-site lab services.

Keck Medicine will also continue operating its 18,000-square-foot location, focused on primary care, geriatrics, gastroenterology and ophthalmology.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
