An 80,000-square-foot multispecialty ASC has been planned in Hoover, Ala.

According to a news release shared with Becker’s, construction on the South Haven Surgical Plaza will begin in December, with completion anticipated by March 2027.

The ASC will feature six operating rooms and two procedure rooms, along with advanced imaging and diagnostic suites. The facility is the result of a collaborative effort between several stakeholders, including Loree Skelton, a healthcare attorney, Houston-based Medistar Corporation, and backed by Medical Properties Trust.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
