Trinity Health Michigan has appointed Caesar Gonzales II, MD, to serve as its next chief clinical officer, according to an Aug. 6 report from WHMI.
Dr. Gonzales is a practicing anesthesiologist and he previously served as chief medical officer and vice president of medical affairs of Centra Health.
In the role of chief clinical officer, he will oversee patient safety, risk, medical staff services, clinical quality and research, informatics, accreditation and graduate medical education programs.
He will succeed Rosalie Tocco-Bradley, PhD, MD, who retired from the position in June.
Dr. Gonzales will officially take the role Aug. 11, the report said.
Trinity Health Michigan operates 10 hospitals, 34 medical centers and 23 urgent care facilities.
