Cortez, Colo.-based Southwest Health System has added new echocardiogram and treadmill stress-testing technology at Southwest Memorial Hospital, also in Cortez, to expand local cardiology services and reduce the need for patients to travel for advanced care, according to an Aug.5 report by The Journal.
The upgrades are part of a partnership with Montrose (Colo.) Regional Health to provide high-quality cardiac diagnostics in the community. The new equipment offers detailed heart imaging and improved cardiovascular performance testing to diagnose conditions such as coronary artery disease and arrhythmias.
