Kansas City University has opened admissions for its new Master of Health Science in Anesthesiologist Assistant program, which will begin in January 2026 at the Farber-McIntire campus in Joplin, Mo.
According to an Aug. 1 news release, the program aims to address the ongoing shortage of anesthesia providers. The curriculum will cover anesthesia principals, pharmacology, patient assessment and advanced anesthesia practice techniques with hands-on clinical experiences.
The course will prepare students for the certification exam offered through the National Commission for the Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
