Steve Lin, MD, an interventional cardiologist and heart failure specialist with Lexington, Ky.-based St. Joseph Medical Group—Cardiology, has received the Innovation Award as part of the Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health Physician Enterprise Vision Awards, according to an Aug. 4 update by The Lane Report.
Dr. Lin was recognized for developing a lung ultrasound protocol tailored to congestive heart failure patients, allowing timely, cost-effective evaluations to guide treatment and reduce hospital stays and readmissions. The approach integrates cardiac, vascular and pulmonary imaging into a unified, patient-centered care model.
Board-certified in interventional cardiology and trained at the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Lin serves as medical director of the certified Vein Center at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
