Salisbury, Md.-based TidalHealth broke ground on what will become the system’s largest outpatient facility.

The 150,000-square-foot healthcare complex in Millsboro, Del., will have a staff of 350 to 500 employees once fully completed, according to a July 25 news release from TidalHealth.

The health system broke ground on the first of three planned buildings for the campus, which will house a primary and specialty care office, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy and additional outpatient services. The first building is expected to be completed in the next 18 to 24 months.

A fully functioning ASC is planned for the second building, of which construction is projected to start within eight to 12 months. The third building is currently in the planning phase and will be designed to meet future healthcare needs.

Outpatient specialties that will be provided at the complex once completed include primary care, general surgery, urology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, cardiology and diagnostic cardiology, rheumatology, infusion services, pain management and orthopedics, the release said.
