After several months of delays, Bad Axe, Mich.-based McLaren Thumb Region — part of Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care — has opened its newly expanded cardiology center, The Herald Review reported July 13.

The renovated center, which opened July 1, includes additional exam rooms and supports the expansion of the hospital’s cardiology services.

Originally slated for an April opening, the center faced setbacks due to delays in nonclinical administrative processes.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
