Nemours taps chief of cardiac anesthesia

Wilmington, Del.-based Nemours Children’s Health has tapped Mark Twite, MD, as chief of cardiac anesthesia and co-director of Nemours Children’s Cardiac Center in Delaware Valley, according to a June 20 report from Bucksco.today.

In the role, Dr. Twite will lead cardiac anesthesia services and oversee the program at Nemours. He will also be in charge of strategic direction at the center.

Prior to his new role, Dr. Twite served as professor of anesthesiology and director of congenital cardiac anesthesiology at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora. 

Dr. Twite specializes in pediatric critical care and pediatric cardiac anesthesia, and is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with a subspecialty in pediatric anesthesiology.
