Medicare to Reimburse for Four New HCPCS Q Codes, Stop Paying for J Code

CMS has announced it will begin reimbursing for four new Q codes effective for claims with dates of service on or after July 1.

The four new codes, with their short description, are:

  • Q2041 — Wilate injection
  • Q2042 — Hydroxyprogesterone caproate
  • Q2043 — Sipuleucel-T auto CD54+
  • Q2044 — Belimumab injection

 

The new codes have an MPFSDB status indicator of E.

 

CMS also announced it will no longer reimburse for J7184 (Wilate injection) effective for claims with dates of service on or after July 1.
