Bordeaux, France-based DESKi, a healthtech AI company, has closed a $6 million seed round to aid the launch of its cardiac imaging software in the U.S.

HeartFocus provides real-time AI guidance during cardiac ultrasounds, allowing any healthcare professional to perform the ultrasound with a few hours of training, according to a June 18 news release from the company.

The FDA-approved software helps aid in early diagnoses of heart disease and conditions in primary care, rural clinics and other resource-limited settings.

The company also received a Predetermined Change Control Plan for HeartFocus, allowing for software updates and expansion in the future, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
