The University of Michigan Health-West and Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan have partnered to develop an orthopedic-focused ASC.
The school’s board of regents approved the partnership as well as the sale of a property in Wyoming, Mich., to a OAM-affiliated entity for $5.99 million during a June 12 meeting, according to a news release from the university.
The new ASC company will be created through a joint venture and will be governed by representatives from both organizations.
The facility will be developed in 2027, the release said.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
