Two men residing in Doral, Fla., face charges for performing procedures at New World Medical & Mystic Cosmetic Surgery without a license, Local 10 reported June 11.
What happened?
- Wilson Muñoz Suarez, 60, was arrested in March, and Manuel Lazzaro, 58, in April. Both now face additional charges. Mr. Suarez is charged with new counts of practicing medicine without a license, while Mr. Lazzaro faces new counts of unlicensed medical practice and causing injury as an unlicensed health provider.
- The Florida Department of Health issued an emergency suspension of the surgical center’s license in May 2025.
- Mr. Lazzaro, previously accused of a botched procedure that led to a woman losing her nipple, now faces allegations of disfiguring another patient during a procedure at G-NOUVA. Mr. Suarez allegedly posed as a cosmetic surgeon to a bank employee who discovered him on Instagram.
