New California Surgery Center Included in Bakersfield Cancer Center

San Joaquin Community Hospital, an Adventist Health facility based in Bakersfield, Calif., has announced it is building an outpatient surgery center as part of a new cancer center in Bakersfield.

The Cancer Center at SJCH will be a four-story, 60,000-square-foot facility which will feature the surgery center, radiation oncology and medical oncology, according to a hospital news release.

 

The new facility is expected to cost about $36 million, with the hospital targeting to have it open in 12-15 months.
