Here are five physician practice or clinic closures Becker’s has reported on in the last month.

1. Longmeadow-based The Hand Center of Western Massachusetts closed June 1. The closure is attributed to unexpected staffing issues that have disrupted operations.

2. Warren, Ohio-based otolaryngology clinic The Lippy Group plans to permanently shutter June 20. After serving patients for more than 60 years, Lippy will shut down its main office and hearing-aid center. Lippy’s surgery center will remain open.

3. Peoria, Ill.-based Bond Eye Associates will close June 27. The practice cited financial difficulties, including rising operational costs and challenges with insurance reimbursements, as the primary reasons for the closure.

4. DFD Russell Medical Center will close its Bridgton, Maine, clinic on Aug. 28 due to financial pressures.

5. Fairfield Medical Center has closed the practice of David Cummin, MD, a physician in Logan, Ohio, leaving more than 7,500 patients in limbo.
